OUR MISSION

ONO 3.jpeg

One Night Out (ONO) was started in 2014 and is a non-profit organization based out of The Boston Ability Center (BAC) in Natick and Wellesley Massachusetts. ONO offers free, monthly respite childcare events for children with special needs of all ages and their siblings. This is a critical service for caregivers who are often unable to find and maintain adequate care for their children in a safe and supportive environment. While caregivers recharge during an afternoon or evening to themselves, One Night Out hosts hours of fun!

In partnership with local public and independent high schools, ONO recruits and trains local high school students as well as adult volunteers to work with this unique population of children. ONO provides supervised, high-quality, one-to-one care for children with special needs and their siblings. In doing so, ONO promotes the inclusion of the special needs community and exposes high schoolers to a rewarding career path.

Event space is made possible by One Night Out's partnership with The Boston Ability Center, which is a multidisciplinary, outpatient pediatric wellness center offering physical therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, speech and language therapy and more to children ages birth to eighteen.

We understand that childcare services for children with special needs can be hard to find, hard to fund, and hard to maintain. One Night Out is here to help!
